Integration Connection Issues

Check out this article for troubleshooting if you experience an issue when connecting to the integration

When connecting to the integration, integration issues may occur. The most common issues will be listed in this article and you will be able to understand how to resolve them quickly. 

Issues may appear as follows:

  1. "Please verify your API key is valid" - The API key error indicates that either a step has been missed in the process or the API key generated is not valid and Scytale cannot obtain access through this token.

    How to resolve? 
    Validate that you have followed each step correctly by following the user guide of the specific integration. 
    Contact us if you don't find out how to resolve the issue. 
  2. Permissions - there are two types of permission errors:
    1. General error - we could not identify what permissions were missing. You will get this error: "Some permissions are missing, please verify the permission list"
    2. Specific error - when we found that a specific permission was missed during the process. You will get this error: (example)

      "iam.roles.get permission is missing, iam.serviceAccounts.get permission are missing"

    How to resolve? 
    Review the permissions list in the user guide and verify you have assigned all permissions in the tool. Whenever permissions are listed in the error, those are the ones that are probably missing.

  3. "Something went wrong, please try again or contact Scytale" - this error will be displayed whenever the error is unexpected and we cannot specify the cause. 

    How to resolve?
    Try to perform the operation again. It can be a temporary technical issue.
    We recommend following the steps in the user guide again and verifying the connection process. It can also be caused when the steps as per the user guide was not followed.

  4. Validation fields:
    1. "Please enter a valid email"

      How to resolve?
      Valid email address should contain a "@". Please make sure your email address is correct. 
    2. "Please enter a valid domain URL"

      How to resolve?
      Valid domain URL looks as follows: (with the https://) https://scytalemodel.atlassian.net
    3. Please enter a valid subdomain

      How to resolve?
      A valid subdomain looks as follows: your-company.okta.com
  5. User selection step (e.g project selection):
    1. "Something went wrong, please try again or contact Scytale" - this error will be displayed whenever the error is unexpected and we cannot specify the cause. 
      How to resolve? 
      Refresh the page or contact us if the problem persists. 
    2. "The data was not found, please verify the data exists" - This is a rare error. We received no data when the integration was established. It might occur when there are no projects to fetch.

      How to resolve?
      Validate the existence of your projects in the tool. Contact us if the problem persists.
