GCP KMS - Connection Failing

If the GCP KMS integration is failing to connect, it's likely due to the absence of Keyrings in your account

🔍 Why This Happens

The monitor checks for Keys and their rotation policies, but it does so by retrieving them through Keyrings.
If no Keyrings exist, the integration cannot fetch any key data and will fail.

⚠️ Note: Having Keys alone is not enough — they must be part of a Keyring.

✅ What You Need to Do

  1. Go to the Google Cloud Console

  2. Navigate to the Key Inventory page under Security > Key Management

  3. Check if any Keyrings exist in the account

If no Keyrings are present, you’ll need to create at least one Keyring for the connection to succeed.
